Brooklyn Collectiv’s own DJ Gunz is back at it, with the first installment of his new Reggae /Hip-hop remix cd series, “No Long Talking: Street Blends”. The first volume of this mix finds the biggest names in reggae and hip hop blended together, along with exclusive dubplates and of course, new music. A new single from Sagittarius Black entitled “What You Do To Me” (featuring r&b songstress Mia) is sure to please hip-hop and r&b fans alike.

Yung Image makes an appearance with his two SMASH SINGLES, “Hot Like Lava” & “Trouble On The Dance Floor”. Other CD highlights include the Mavado / Jay-Z “On To The Next One (Mockingbird)” blend, Vybz Kartel’s “Virginity” over 50 Cent’s “Baby by Me”, and Elephant Man’s “Sweep” combination alongside the New Boyz crazy “Jerk” single.  Sounds crazy? Take a listen and see for yourself!

Ric Flair track…woooooooo

Posted by goldchain On October - 3 - 2009

Steph LV of Rebels Music Empire

Oh yea! Brooklyn Stand up.
Rapper Steph LV hit us up on our http://myspace.com/encorestatus yesterday and we love what he’s doing. He’s Brooklyn with and alternative beat. Check out his myspace (http://www.myspace.com/stephldavoski) site and hear his track ‘Turning.’ Its definitely a great mix of hip hop, reggae, a little house…
We love wrestling (random, I know), so we picked his Ric Flair track to put on the site. Tell us what you think! Definitely go to his site and check out more of his stuff.

ASH FOX/Tit Tees

Dream Catcher Low

Dream Catcher Low

A world made up of skin tight clothes, glitter, and rock ‘n’ roll is what comes to my mind of Ash Fox’s line formally known as ‘Tit Tees’. For this 2009 fall she’s ditched the name and has replaced it with her own, ‘ASH FOX’. She explains having a line called ‘Tit Tees’ as a woman felt empowering and it represented just that: girl power and body confidence. In a sense it also created boundaries. Which is why she decided to change the name because she’d like the brand to encompass other types of clothing in the near future.
What made her want to start making her own shirts? She says, “The idea to make shirts came from me seeing a lot of plain boring, pregnant looking tops in stores. I wanted to make something tight and flashy inspired by my favorite decades of rock.” Which she totally did. For example my favorite piece by her: the Tit Tees DreamCatcher Dress (featured in picture) or her Tit Tees Roxy tee – a tee with studded sleeves. All which are handmade by her in NYC. She loves jewel tones, prints (check out her ‘Feline Tee’), textures, and embellishments all of which there are traces of in her clothing. Her label can be found in New Jersey at ‘The Closet’ in Englewood, ‘Smart Alex’ in Middletown, and ‘Threads’ in Cluster. With new locations to be in New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. But for those of you that don’t live near by you can always visit her online shop, www.tittees.etsy.com where she provides free domestic shipping and often does custom orders. Also be sure to check out her blog at www.tittees.blogspot.com here you can watch an amazing promo video for the former Tit Tees as well as keep yourself updated on what’s going on – a new promo video is in the works. Basically, if you’ve been looking for a cross between heavy metal and disco look no further because Ash Fox has got just the stuff for you.
